baked sweet chili wings

These baked sweet chili wings offer a perfect balance of spicy heat and sticky sweetness, making them an irresistible appetizer or snack for any occasion.

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and olive oil. Mix well.
  3. Toss the chicken wings in the sauce mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the wings on the wire rack in a single layer to allow even cooking.
  5. Bake wings for 35–40 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.
  6. For extra glaze, brush wings with additional sweet chili sauce and bake for another 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the wings for 2–3 minutes at the end of baking but watch carefully to prevent burning.
