Broccoli Cheese Balls

Comforting homemade broccoli cheese balls plated

Crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside, Broccoli Cheese Balls are a delicious and healthy snack perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets, steamed and finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the steamed broccoli, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix in the eggs and breadcrumbs until the mixture holds together well.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the broccoli cheese balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a healthier version, bake the cheese balls at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes instead of frying.
