Spicy and cheesy, these Cheddar Jalapeño Burgers bring bold flavors together in a juicy grilled patty topped with melted cheddar and fresh jalapeños. Perfect for a flavorful dinner or weekend cookout.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayonnaise, mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to combine.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  4. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, place shredded cheddar cheese on each patty and top with sliced jalapeños to melt slightly.
  6. Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill.
  7. Assemble the burgers with optional toppings as desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra smoky flavor, try using smoked cheddar cheese or add a splash of hot sauce to the patties before grilling.
