Citrus Chicken Thighs

Juicy chicken thighs infused with bright citrus flavors, creating a perfectly balanced and flavorful dish ideal for a quick weeknight dinner.

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 orange, juiced and zested
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine orange juice and zest, lemon juice and zest, garlic, olive oil, honey, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the citrus marinade over them, coating evenly.
  4. Marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor.
  5. Bake chicken in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden and crispy.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

For extra zest, serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh green salad to balance the citrus flavors.
