Garlic Butter Lemon Salmon

This Garlic Butter Lemon Salmon is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender salmon fillets cooked in a zesty lemon garlic butter sauce, perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place salmon fillets skin-side up in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until salmon is just cooked through.
  5. Remove salmon from skillet and set aside.
  6. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet.
  7. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  8. Stir in lemon juice and lemon zest, cooking for another 1-2 minutes.
  9. Return salmon to the skillet, spoon the garlic butter sauce over the fillets.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve the salmon with roasted vegetables or a side of garlic butter rice. You can also add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
