Ginger-Spiced Apple Holiday Bake

A warm and fragrant baked apple dessert infused with spicy ginger and holiday spices, perfect for festive gatherings.

  • 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Transfer the apple mixture to a greased baking dish.
  4. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the apples, then sprinkle chopped walnuts on top if using.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until apples are tender and the topping is golden.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra festive touch.
