Mini Mushroom Swiss Sliders

Mini Mushroom Swiss Sliders are savory bite-sized burgers topped with sautéed mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese, perfect for parties or a flavorful snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 mini slider buns
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Pickles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened and browned, about 5-6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
  4. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to combine.
  5. Form the beef mixture into 12 small patties, slightly larger than the slider buns.
  6. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties about 3 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  7. Place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  8. Butter the inside of each slider bun and toast lightly in the oven or on a skillet.
  9. Assemble sliders by placing the patty with cheese on the bun bottom, topping with sautéed mushrooms and onions, adding optional lettuce and pickles, then placing the bun top.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, add a dollop of horseradish sauce or Dijon mustard to each slider before serving.
