Red and Green Caprese Skewers are a fresh and vibrant bite-sized appetizer featuring classic Italian flavors, perfect for entertaining or a light snack.

Ingredients

  • 20 cherry tomatoes (red and green)
  • 20 mini fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 20 small wooden skewers or toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves; pat dry.
  2. On each skewer, thread one cherry tomato, one basil leaf, and one mozzarella ball. Repeat until all skewers are assembled.
  3. Place skewers on a serving platter and drizzle evenly with olive oil and balsamic glaze.
  4. Season lightly with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  5. Serve immediately or chill for up to 1 hour before serving for best freshness.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle with a pinch of dried oregano or a few drops of pesto before serving.
